Mucha was one of the great poster artists of the turn of the century and a man of great talent and international renown in his lifetime. His posters were avidly collected and his partnership with Sarah Bernhard made both of them famous and wealthy. Cover is chipped with various small flaws such as closed edge chips and a 1.5" tear at bottom edge, nicks to the "yap" edges, various corner creases, rear cover with a couple small surface gouges, etc. An inherently fragile format and size, meaning most surviving examples of this scarce periodical show similar types of condition wear. Original string ties which allowed for the magazine to be dis-assembled for displaying the profusion of artistic framable images within. A really great magazine of the era, this being one of the most desirable issues of the entire run. Scarce in any condition, this example with some wear but still tremendously pleasing. B14984
