I can remember when I started playing golf in 1980, this Putter was very popular, and you'd see a Bullseye putter in about every other bag. Take a look at the pics and see how many nicks and dings the putter head has in it But you should've seen it before I cleaned it up. Instead of a nice and shiny Brass color, it was a dull brown color from oxidation. I normally don't do anything to the golf clubs I sell except clean the club up as best as I can, and hit or putt some balls at the driving range. But, I just wanted to see what kind of difference a little sanding and polishing would make. Don't worry about it being lighter, because I weighed it before I started and again after I was finished and the difference was less than 1 ounce. I wasn't able to get all of the dings out, but I didn't want to chance changing the loft. Oh, you didn't know that putters have loft? Usually it is between 2 and 3 degrees, and as best I could measure with a Protractor, this one is 2 degrees. The shaft is one of the original Bullseye shafts too! Notice that the shaft fits over the hosel instread of inside it. There is also about a 2 1/2 in crimp about 3 1/2 inches from the top of the hosel, for strength I guess, though I've never seen a putter with a whippy shaft. The grip is a Golf Pride Bullseye Titleist and it is sort of smooth, but then you're using two hands to putt, although a scrubbing or two with saddle soap will liven it up. If you've never tried using saddle soap on you club grips, you should give it a try, and you'll be surprised. Find it at Wal-Mart on the rack with shoe strings!
