Description: This is a lovely Antique cut glass Compote / Pedestal Bowl. This is a great display piece. It is large and has an old geometric cutting of punties/colonial flute adorned with a row of "silver strings" cutting aboveMeasures: 8" wide top rim by 7-1/2" tall. This is fully blown & hand cut. You can see the piece is 3 separate blown pieces connected by glass as they did in the 1800's. It is thick, heavy and with great clarity. It sings like Flint glass when gently tapped. This piece is loaded with Manganese like glass from the era, so this one glows bright green in 365 uv light for those interested in knowing (pic included).Due to the elements I described above I would "atrribute" this to the American region c. (1850 to 1880). It could be Boston Sandwich, Pittsburgh, New England, etc.. Consider it Flint era or into the turn of the next era into the early American Brilliant Period.Condition: It is over 120 years old so it's in great condition for these days.. There are NO chips or cracks... Does has scratch scuff marks on bottom from age which is the appropriate patina from age.. Manufacturer natural production flaws can be found like tiny bubbles encased in the glass & tiny specks of debris. Where the stem connects to the bowl is secured and well annealed, but if you you can find a tiny speck of white debris here and an area that may be air trapped between from when it was sealed. causes no issues................................................................*No Returns/Refunds Policy*...Please Note that we do not accept returns or refunds.
