Description: IM7 is a continuous Intermediate Modulus PAN based fiber in 12,000 (12K) filament count tow , typically used in weaving,prepregging, filament winding, and laminating with resins for high strength and stiffness parts and reinforcements. The fiber is low ultimate elongation 1.8% to ultimate strength of 825,000 PSI fibers having 95% carbon content and filament diameter of 0.203 mils with the tow never twisted. Fiber stiffness Minimum (modulus) 40,000,000 PSI. The 12k tow yield is 3337 ft per lb. and carbon fiber has been qualified to NMS 818 Specification as aerospace grade carbon fiber. The carbon tow will be provided in two near equal rolls as shown in the photo.
