Description: Chinese "Prosperity" Sheet - H-D Block Uncut Sheet of 8 "Prosperity"1985-H $5 1995 Federal Reserve Notes. Uncirculated This rare uncut H-D sheet of eight is from the eighth District was from the The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) special Prosperity Sheet program. This program was based on the Chinese calendar where the notes have serial numbers that begin with "8888." The H-D block was issued only in uncut sheet form. This series 1995 $5 sheet represents the Eighth Federal Reserve District St. Louis. The numeral "8" located in the upper and lower right and left corners of the note indicate the bank designation. In many Asian communities, the number 8 signifies wealth and prosperity. The print run was very limited for each block, with just 1,125 sheets printed. I received this uncut sheet as a gift while I was working as a vice president for a Taiwanese bank back in 2001. I have maintained the uncut sheet on its original tube encasing from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and I have not displayed the notes at any point in time. Notes have been maintained on its original tube encasing.
