2014 United States Mint Discovery Set Plus 6 extras

Description: In 2014 The U.S. Mint put out this Discovery Set ,which the Mint dubbed " An Introduction to Coin Collecting ". Besides coming with a magnifying glass, a set of cotton gloves to handle coins, two quarter tubes, a 31 page guide on coin collecting from how coins are made through types of coins and finishes, they came with three distinct Kennedy halves. The set included a premium set of the 50th Anniversary Kennedy half dollars including the Proof San Francisco and the uncirculated Philadelphia and Denver halves. The PCGS price guide lists these " Discovery Set" halves at almost a 100% premium to the regular 2014 uncirculated and proof halves in their price lists. I've included a photo of the Discovery Set next to the 50th Anniversary uncirculated 2014 Kennedy set (the 50th Anniversary Set is not part of this auction) and the Discovery set looks more like a matte finish. Adding to this set I've filled one of the quarter tubes with 40 ($10) of high grade State Quarters with a nice mix of early dates and mints. In addition each set will also include 5 additional coins with one each from the 1800's group, one silver coin ( most buyers will receive at least two), one highly graded coin from either PCGS or NGC, one RD/RB Lincoln penny ( dates are 1925 ,1940 ,1945 ,1952 , and 1953D ) and the penny,nickel, and dime from a 1976 mint set, still in the original cellophane. Photos of all the possible combination of coins that you could receive are included in this listing. All five sets are up for sale. A great set for a young collector or new collector just getting started with coin collecting. A reasonable opening bid for this Discovery Set with all the extras that are included.
