Description: The cartridge with the shrink tube installed on a clip and shown in the gallery photo is for illustration only and is not included in this listing. If shrink tube is to be used I find it best to slide the shrink tube over the wire and then solder the wire in the the cup just below the crimp area of the tube with as little solder as possible. Crimp the wire over the insulation on the wire and slide the shrink tube over the clip and heat shrink it onto the clip. Caution: Using too much solder wont allow you to slide the the tube over the clip. You can also shorten the clip if desired by breaking off the crimp portion leaving the cup, and repeating the above. The contact area of the clips are flashed gold over nickel. They have a contact resistance of .01 ohms. All components are RoHS Compliant lead free materials. *Compression type clips will fit all modern round cartridge pins sizes: .050 inches / 1.27 mm nominal, and will also fit round cartridge pins from .0492 inches / 1.20 mm to .0531 inches / 1.35 mm When I use these clips I use a dab of solder to insure that I have a good solid connection.
