Description: 2 Vintage Hand Wrought Iron Rat de Cave Candle Holders From Tiroler Heimatwerk, Innbruck Austria - founded in 1920's, still operating today The “Tiroler Hausindustrie” cooperative was founded on April 28, 1934 as a sales platform for the high-quality products. Renowned Tyrolean artists from the region were commissioned to provide the craftsmen, especially the weavers, blacksmiths, potters and carvers with appropriate designs. These vintage hand wrought iron candle holders measure approx 6 inches tall and 5 inches wide The drip catcher base has a piecrust edge The candles are pushed up the spiral as they burn down using the small handle on the side of each holder They have an older Tiroler Heimatwerk label on the bottoms. My best guess is that they fate to the 1930’s There is some age-related oxidation and some losses to the black paint here and there - please see photos.
