This is common with older treks, as the frames were frequently sold as a frameset and then built with the customers preffered parts. The parts are 1987-1988 production. the frameset, decals and fork matches the 1987 trek 1200, but the groupset is the 1987 trek 1000. It is possible, but unlikely, that it is a 1985 2000, with a rare paint job. I cannot find any matches for 1986, and the decals are wrong for 1988 or later.
