Description: This is a beautiful, BGS 9 MINT, 1983 Topps #482 Rookie Card of one of the greatest and most consistent hitters in MLB history, San Diego Padres first ballot Hall-Fame outfielder, 8-time NL batting champion, 15-time All-Star, 5-time Gold Glove Award winner, and 7-time Silver Slugger Award winner, Tony "Mr. Padre" Gwynn, who played his entire 20 year MLB career with the Padres, collecting 3,141 career hits along the way, never batting below .309 in any full season, and finishing with a phenomenal career batting average of .338. Gwynn was also the recipient of the 1999 Roberto Clemente Award, which is given annually to the MLB player who "best exemplifies the game of baseball, sportsmanship, community involvement and the individual's contribution to his team," as voted on by baseball fans and members of the media.
