This watch has been personally serviced and restored.The case and crystal have been cleaned and hand polished. The movement was removed, cleaned with ultrasound, and lubricated. The dial and the hands have been cleaned softly so as to not remove any patina.The movement has been demagnetized.This watch has been calibrated with a timegrapher to be as accurate as possible. In terms of timekeeping, no mechanical watch is as accurate as a quartz, battery or digital watch. Mechanical watches are as accurate as their design allows them to be. That said, vintage Timex watches vary in their accuracy between a few seconds to a few minutes a day, fast or slow. We put forth every effort to bring your vintage Timex to its best timekeeping performance.The accuracy of a watch depends on wrist movement, watch position, frequency of winding and maintenance. It's important to keep track of when you wind your vintage Timex watch and how many times you turn the crown, never forcing it when you feel a slight resistance.Not tested under water (not recommended). This is a vintage watch and due to its age, there may be small scratches, discoloration on the dial or other evidence of the passage of time. Feel free to ask questions before placing a bid.Due to its age, I cannot guarantee accuracy of time keeping and/or continued operation of this watch.This is a mechanical watch. It needs to be wound regularly in order to work. However, you must be gentle when winding it. It should not be wound too tight (all the way to the end) because this may break the mainspring or lock the mechanism.
