Description: Schafer & Vater Germany blue rooster creamer or pitcher made circa 1925. It is 4" high and 5 1/2" wide. This is a fancy bird with long arching tail and draping feathers. His comb is shaped like a hat, a sort of beret. The rooster is painted in a white and blue wash, then accented in cobalt. The lower wing has a dark blue painted image of a standing gnome riding atop an owl, with reins to steer the bird, and streamers from the gnome's hat flying in the wind. On the right side at the base in front of the wing, are the numbers 7733. There are no markings on the underside of the creamer. NOTE: The beak has some chips.
