Description: 1860 ANTIQUE VICTORIAN OIL PAINTING PORTRAIT - ANN GREENWAY BY WILLIAM TAIT An attractive Victorian portrait, oil on board, in its original gilt gesso frame. Card name plaque for Ann Greenway circa 1800-1860. Later pen to back of frame identifies the artist as her grandson William Tait, together with further family details. Well painted and presented, some age craquelure to surface, some touching up in places to the gilt, other marks and wear from age and handling. Frame 38.9cm x 34cm.
