Description: These Foam Spiders are the best topwater panfish flies I have used. They cast easily, float like little corks, are durable and are highly visible. Included are 18 size # 10 Spiders 2 each of nine different colors. Because they float so high they are not only easy to see but can also be used over weeds where fish hang out (also allows you fish in ponds that can really weed up as summer advances). I honestly believe that the two-tone configuration of these spiders significantly improves their effectiveness, in fact I wouldn't bother with the compication of adding another color if I was not so sure it helps. Additionally, the contrasting colors greatly impove visability. To fish these flies, you can really slap them down and if not taken immediately (which often happens - so be ready) then simply twitch it (meaning move it without advancing it if that makes sense!) and panfish and bass will usually strike. Because of their excellent floatation, these flies make great top flies for dropper rigs so you can double your chances. I have also caught a number of decent trout on these flies.
