Description: This is a 1667 Netherlands/Gelderland "Silver Rider" 1 Ducaton from the 1743 Hollandia Shipwreck NGC Genuine, DAV-4923. The first two images are provided by the NGC Photography Team and can be downloaded. The Dutch East Indiaman Ship "Hollandia" sunk off the Isles of Scilly, England, carrying large quantities of silver pillar dollars and some silver cobs. This crown sized coin has some obvious signs of saltwater corrosion and contact marks likely caused during the wreckage, but a good portion of the overall details are still visible with a clear date as well. This coin comes in the NGC plastic slab with the special blue "Shipwreck Certification" label.
