(1 of 1) Filson Restoration Department FRD -- Blackout Tooled Tin Cloth Backpack

Description: I have decided to part ways with my FRD tin cloth bag, what I believe to be one of the best bags that Filson has ever made, period. This is a totally unique, 1-of-1 bag produced before the Filson brand was bought out by Wall Street investors. They truly don't make them like this anymore. For those unfamiliar, the Filson Restoration Department acquires vintage Filson products that have been damaged or simply used as intended, and their in-house Seattle craftsman rework the vintage bag all by hand in their workshop. That means that every bag that comes through has a lifetime of history, and is revitalized for a lifetime more. They often reinforce or improve many elements of the original bag with better materials (as seen here) that would simply take too much time to do to every regular production piece. Modern day Filson no longer produces FRD bags to the quality standards seen in this bag. So FRD bags are already extremely special and limited, but this particular example is a true masterpiece and holy grail. Features: - Fully hand-tooled stamped leather shoulder straps in foliage/conifer pattern made by a master leatherworker from a small business in Marysville, WA called Quil Ceda Leather Company who partnered with the Filson workshop on a tiny number of FRD bags. Very, very few items from Filson were ever made with tooled leather due to the extensive time and artistry required. This is the largest and most elaborate example I have ever seen. There are no holes, smells, rips, etc that affect function. Includes original FRD Polaroid photo of this bag on their workbench and Filson tag. Yes it's very expensive. I understand that this will not be for everybody but for the true Filson collector or simply someone who appreciates made in USA mastercraft this bag stands on its own.
